Welcome to Newsletter 20. This months features include-

  1. Guyana. Sometimes rarity can be hiding in plain sight. This Guyanese stamp illustrated here was a workhorse that saw a lot of use over a number of years. But it wasn't listed in the catalogs, and it took a while to realize this. By then all the mint stamps had been used up. And thus, a rarity is born. Such is the life and times of the Guyana stamp world- nothing is quite as expected. What looks common is rare and what looks rare is common.
